Design Follows Function
“I love to design shoes that envelope the foot, giving the sensation of walking barefoot” (Thierry Rabotin).
This is our Mission, this is our Goal. At Thierry Rabotin Footwear we never submit our client’s wellness to the design, the design always follows function.

Thierry Rabotin Couture – Art and Elegance

The design pays homage to the great Oscar Niemeyer, master of the modernist architecture. The free-flowing curves of Niemeyer’s ramps, the triangular shapes of columns and the spikes of cathedral are extracted and incorporated into design. Volumes are still the great protagonists. A new quilting technique will make its debut, as will a new wedge construction adding fresh dimension to the collection. Hues such as burnt orange and electric green metallics will be introduced paying homage to the vibrant Brazilian culture and country.

You will see historic details in our collection such as over-sized vamps that embrace the foot, cut outs and strong lines with inlays and combinations of col ored elastics. Volumes are the main protagonists of this season’s collection. Double-faced materials make their debut to give new life to classic favorites and add edge to new designs. Animai print leathers and a 30 microfiber add a fresh dimension to both shoes and boots. Luxe nappa leather and rich suedes remain, as always, in play far the new season.

The TR1 – Freedom and Ligtness

Is the carefree gypsy soul of the three lines. This season it will take you back to the 20s in the masterpiece of Fernand Léger: Ballet Mécanique. Dynamic cubist geometries in vivid color block combinations are incorporated into the designs. The sporty soul of the line has been updated with a new sneaker with a fresh, iconic toe shape. As always, the main protagonists of the TR1 line are the materials. Soft calf suede and hand finished patent leathers, in a variety of bright hues, make up the palette for the season.
